In the world of online pornography, the cross-network model is unavoidable. A particularly successful pornographic business will launch several porn sites, sometimes with overlapping videos and sell them as separate brand names. Hentai Pros is one such network product under the banner of PornPortal. This site launched back in 2014 so it is a rather recent addition to the flock. They specialize in original Japanese hentai productions and they bring them to you at the cost of a regular recurring subscription.

A Large and Underwhelming Library

Hentai Pros feature a couple hundred original hentai scenes for you to enjoy. They’re all uploaded in their original quality so if the hentai first came out in HD then you’ll get it uncut and uncompressed. However, for a paid subscription, 200 videos is less of a library and more of a sample. Further, a large chunk of their hentai appears to be extremely old. Some of these titles date back into the early 2000s and a good portion of them appear to be mistitled. Also, a majority of these hentai movies are available for free on other websites so these are definitely not exclusives that you rent from the original producers, rather, they’re being repackaged and resold. One hentai for instance, titled “Friends Forever” is actually “Ai Shimai: Immoral Sisters” which is a quite legendary hentai piece from 2004. It’s unlikely that the name is a mistranslation as there’s no similarity there. It’s likelier that this was done in order to avoid linking the hentai to the original production. Further, there are no comments on this website so you cannot even discuss the hentai with other fans of the site. You simply get to watch it, like it and download it if you so choose. It’s nice that you get to download the videos but given that half of them are already all-over the internet it’s an all-around underwhelming experience. At $9.99 a month, billed annually, you’d expect to receive at least some original titles, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. It’s also quite sad that you do not get a comments section as part of the joy of watching hentai is interacting with other hentai lovers and talking about your favorite parts of the video. You could also discuss other titles and get recommendations, but you get none of that on this network. It’s very cut and dry.

A Respectable Network

Even though Hentai Pros is very underwhelming with their library, they are a part of the PornPortal network which uses Pro Biller for payments, so at the very least you get an impeccable guarantee of safety when paying for your subscription. There’s criticisms to be levied against PornPortal’s selections on certain sites under their network, but overall they’re a very respectable business with tons of other websites that are more than impressive. Perhaps Hentai Foundry would be a better purchase as a package deal. If it’s a bonus on top of other websites that feature different content, you might enjoy the purchase a lot more. On its own it hardly justifies the hefty price tag. Also, because you’re under PornPortal’s wing when you’re browsing Hentai Pros you know that you’re not going to see a single ad during your time on the site. There’s also the quality guarantee in that their websites, Hentai Pros included, are all hosted on quality servers so there shouldn’t be any lag or problems as you skip across the videos. You also get to download an unlimited amount of videos and new ones get added pretty frequently, though they seem to have paused their regular upload schedule in June of 2019. Hopefully that’ll be remedied soon enough. As for the actual quality of the hentai videos, aside from the old school 480p productions, the rest of the hentai is brought to you in stunning 1080p which, when it comes to hentai, is a very high standard of quality. With live action pornography even 4K can suffer under the compression needed to get an entire video file to load on your computer. With hentai, the compression is unnoticeable and the quality remains top notch because of the way that the characters and backdrops are drawn and textured.

The Upside: Quality Smut

Regardless of whether this content is available on other sites or not, the content itself is really good. The aforementioned Ai Shimai might be mistitled and it might be old, but it is also a fan favorite hentai movie with ridiculously well written plot and quality sexual scenes. Further, none of the hentai on this website is censored in any way, which is a big plus if you’re a diehard hentai fan. The other videos on the site seem to revolve around many different genres, but you’ll generally see a lot of popular hentai fan service in the form of submissive teens and middle aged women who are looking for any excuse to have sexual intercourse of all kinds. Even in the hentai movies where the women are allegedly coerced or otherwise unhappy to be fornicating, they still do so with a lot of fervor. It is a big part of the hentai fantasy and it works quite well. You’ll also see a lot of incestuous setups, featuring actual siblings and step siblings, but this is all make-believe as it is all drawn fiction. The formula works really well under the hentai banner and there’s no shortage of such hentai productions. As for the visual styles, the retro hentai follows the same hentai style that had been popular in Japan since the 80s. Very realistic, very down to earth without exaggerated human proportions. On the other hand, the newer stuff comes in a variety of styles between realistic and overly cute. There are also exaggerated fantastical styles in the hentai movies that feature monsters and magic. There’s a lot of consensual and non-consensual sex, but nothing particularly egregious – at least for a hentai production. This particular site doesn’t seem to host any of the particularly violent hentai content that exists out there. It’s a lot more vanilla and focused on quality art and proper voice overs. And speaking of the voice overs, most of them throughout these videos are of a very high quality. Japan has countless porn voice actors and actresses these days and you’ll find some of the best of them in these videos.

Some Technical Comments

The website’s design leaves a lot to be desired in the sorting department. You can see the latest videos and the most popular videos on the home page, but beyond that you don’t get much sorting except for a search bar and the categories tab. The categories feature a bunch of genres you might have heard of before, but given that there aren’t that many videos on the site, the categories are irrelevant. It’s easier to simply use the search bar if you’re in the mood for something specific. There are quite a few videos on this site that are part of a series and you can get the whole series, but you have to find each video individually. It would have been better if the videos were strung together somehow, but that’s just a technical gripe. They’re still very much available. It would also be wonderful if the site had full hentai productions rather than episodic scene breakdowns, but you take what you can get. It’s also worth noting that to download videos from the site you have to upgrade your membership to premium, and this is very regrettable.
