E-Hentai

E-Hentai.org is a hentai-sharing image board that has been operational since 2005. Though it has a worldwide user base, the highest share of its visitors (about 22%) are from Japan. It is within the top 100 websites in Japan and the top 500 sites worldwide. Though they’ve seen a decline in popularity over the years, they still receive nearly a quarter of a million unique visitors per day.

One of the Original Hentai Imageboards

The site’s relatively old age is visibly apparent from the front page. Instead of auto playing video trailers and animated HD porn images, E-Hentai’s front page is a wall of text with color icons indicating whether a piece of art is CG, Doujinshi or Manga. Most of the page is taken up by a list of the newest material. The site runs on user uploads and has a very active community, so viewers will always have a fresh selection of obscene comic images to peruse and search for masturbatory fodder. There is generally a new piece of content added every few minutes.

Content is listed by name, with some of the piece’s tags displayed underneath. Also listed is the uploader’s username, how many pages of comic smut is included, and what the current user rating is. Because the community is so active, titles start getting star ratings almost immediately after being uploaded.

Though hentai and doujinshi enthusiasts will be happy to see even their most obscure favorites represented across E-Hentai, the image-free layout of the front page may be a little intimidating to casual readers of hentai. It can be difficult to select via such limited textual information. Hovering over a title will display a thumbnail so viewers can get a general feel for the art style represented within.

Naked CG Manga Girls and Video Game Babes

PornSites.com took a look at the very newest piece of content on the site during our visit. Maryoku Kyoku ~ Pankeki No Yuhanda Sekai is a 223-image gallery is classified as a Game CG since the images are sourced from a hentai videogame. Tags visible from the front page include Fake Grand Order, Jeanne Darc, Footjob and Lolicon. Mosaic Censorship is also listed, though regular readers of hentai and doujinshi will not be surprised by the obscured genitals.

E-Hentai presents each comic, doujinshi or image collection in a simple gallery format. Beneath a stat box listing factoids like language, parody, characters and rating, viewers are presented with row after row of comic book smut.

The Maryoku Kyokyu images are shown in a vaguely sequential order, with groupings of similar drawings that could easily work as animated GIFs. Indeed, they may have been lightly animated in their original video game presentation. A young woman with big eyes rides a young man’s genitals and another one takes a dildo from behind. There is a lolicon threesome, and some dirty manga girls with horns, exposed breasts, and vaginas presented up in the air. One sequence depicts a purple-haired woman in an elaborate dress alternately stroking a teen’s penis with her foot and kicking him in the testicles. The gallery concludes with several pages of anime-character training cards, though none of these appear to be explicit.

Dirty Manga, Doujinshi, Cosplay and More

Game CG posts are popular on E-Hentai, though they have a number of other still-image formats for users to browse. The site deals strictly in images, with no audio or video anywhere. The format tags reflect this.

Artist CG posts are similar to the Game ones except that the images are original rather than pulled from games. Some galleries are presented simply as Image Sets. These ones are typically collections of manga characters parodied as nymphomaniacs, often gender-swapped or endowed with extra-large breasts and superhuman genitals.

Doujinshi and Manga are among the site’s most popular offerings. Though casual viewers may not be able to tell the difference, Doujinshi is considered to be the amateur version of Manga. The site also features pieces tagged as Non-H. Though these are ostensibly images that can be classified as neither manga nor doujinshi, in our perusal they mostly seem to be hentai written in English or Chinese. For example, Ayano’s Weight Gain Diary is a BBW stomach inflation comic drawn in a manga style and written in English. It is classified on E-Hentai as Non-H.

Comments drawn with the typical American or European style are labeled as Western. As with the Japanese comics on the website, these Western comics tend to lean toward extreme depravity. We read one called Blue Stryker Bomber that featured monster girls, futanari, bukkake, lactation and nipple sex.

Though the website primarily focuses on drawn images of manga characters engaged in extremely perverse sex, some posts do feature photos. The Cosplay and Asian Porn entries are self-explanatory, though appear in far fewer numbers than the bukkake Doujinshi, bus molesting Manga and tentacle rape Game CG.

New Japanese Sex Comics Added Regularly

About a dozen new pieces of content were posted as this review was being written. Later during our tour, we read a new doujinshi called Koi Hime Love Maki!! (Love Live!) The 42-page, black and white comic book was favorited nearly 80 times after being online just 10 minutes.

One of the problems with the outdated web design of E-Hentai is that there is no real, dedicated image viewer to speak of. Modern hentai sites often have scalable pages, automatic scrolling and different layout options to make one-handed reading easier. Here, each image is just presented plainly on a page with forward and back controls at the top and bottom.­ Users will almost definitely have to scroll and/or zoom their page out.

Love Live is written in Japanese, but the art is depicted in the universal language of sex. A man meets a schoolgirl in the rain, and they go back to his place for a dirty sex session. The big-breasted girl is moist through her panties, though when she takes them off her genitals have been censored to a smooth, Barbie-like flat nothing.

After vigorous penetration with a forearm-sized member, the two participants have explosive orgasms that leave fluid all over the comic panels. They do this a number of times over the course of the entire doujinshi. In some respects, it is a vanilla piece of hentai. Though the cunnilingus and vaginal intercourse are depicted with lots of sticky juices flying around, the action is tame in comparison to much of the impregnation, mind control and anal bondage manga on the website.

Connection to ExHentai and Possible Shutdown

In 2010, E-Hentai implemented a ban on artistic depictions of various sex acts in a few controversial pornographic subgenres. Lolicon, shotacon, beastiality, and incest were among the prohibited forms of content. (Some of these prohibitions may have been lifted; we saw lolicon content, as mentioned above.) In response, these more taboo subjects were moved to a sister site, ExHentai. In order to access this new site, users had to be logged into E-Hentai with an established account. Nonregistered users trying to view the site were met with a drawing of a sad panda.

In July 2019, ExHentai was shut down after just a 12-hour warning period. According to a moderator of the site, “Legislative changes involving lolicon have hit us. Site development has officially ceased.” Though the servers were moved and the site allegedly back online, many users report being unable to view the site.

Tenboro, the owner of both sites, issued a statement that E-Hentai would remain in operation until 2020. Though he intends to retire, he promised that a permanent archive of the site’s content would be arranged.

E-Hentai.org has built a huge library, a very active community, and a solid reputation among the hentai enthusiast community. Though the site has what may appear to be an outdated layout, it is updated almost constantly with new porno manga, doujinshi, and other comic-book influenced smut. As the site is rumored to be in its final years, viewers are encouraged to go check out a piece of Internet hentai history while they still can. Genuine masturbatory fans of the genre will find themselves in good company.
