Since the advent of dial-up, pornographic in-browser video games have been taking the world by storm. More of a Game Than a Website

The game’s website focuses entirely on the game itself, with literally no other UI elements or buttons to speak of. This is very much unlike most other porn game websites you’re going to visit, because even the triple A game productions have websites with several different features. Some of these have forums and community interactions that allow you to browse around, learn about the game and even spend hard earned money. Their websites’ designs are built around these intentions and that’s why you don’t actually dive into the game off the home page. You have to go and look for it.

You get none of that with Hentai Heroes. The second you arrive on the site; you get the game’s splash screen with a Play button. Once you press it you’ve dived right into the game and you don’t have to do much else to enjoy yourself.

You see, the game is written using modern web development conventions, which, among other things, come with the nifty feature of only loading what you need to see at a given moment, as you go along. That means that you don’t have to frontload the entire game to enjoy yourself, and it also means you will never have to wait a single second while you’re on this site.

An Epic Adventure

After you get past the intro section of the game, which only takes about a minute, you are greeted by the game’s UI and a very brief tutorial showing you where everything is. You also learn about the structure of the game itself. This is roughly the part where most new players zone out, when they recognize a certain familiar layout of the main menu of the game.

Basically, the game takes inspiration from FarmVille. By now you should know what that means. It’s the standard pay-to-win formula that has you waiting for your resources to grow, and encourages you to keep playing and coming back to the game with psychological tricks. It also serves to entice you to spend hard earned cash to progress the game, but more on that below.

You really should swallow your pride past this point and dig into the content, though, because unlike FarmVille, this game comes with a lot of sexual scenarios that are well worth exploring. There’s also a ton of visual content and story elements, making it more of an RPG than, say, a strategy game. Further, you’re not *technically* competing against other live players – it’s all about having fun growing your harem. That means that the incentive to spend money to “win the game” is going to be much lower, and you can just enjoy yourself at your own pace.

The game is pretty huge and has a lot of different elements to it but the basic concept Is an extension of the regular modern RPG formula. You have a main character with stats and items, and you have a party of hentai babes from all walks of life. They’re all considered a part of your harem, so they’re all down to fuck you, but you only start with two. To unlock more you have to either meet them in the game world and convince them to sign up or luck into them by gambling with in-game currency that you can only purchase with hard cash.

Engaging Story

Most of the gameplay for new players is going to consist of the Adventure tab of the game, where you have tons of game worlds to explore, in a linear fashion. It’s basically just clicking through a ton of story, with visuals to depict the sexual scenarios your character is taking part in. Either way, it’s extremely entertaining smut from which you gain rewards and new girls for your harem.

The story is extremely long and features a ton of handwritten dialogue for you to read, and most of the backdrops are sexual in one way or another. If a character is not having sex on screen, they’re naked at the very least. There’s also very little male nudity, apart from the main character.

PvP Action

Even though there’s no direct passive combat like in the online strategy games that inspired this formula, there is a combat arena in the form of a harem-off. Basically, you pick your three favorite girls, having one of them be the alpha in charge, and you can pair them off against other players’ harems and see who wins. They play out a sort of combat scenario, which is entirely sexual in nature, and the first player to run out of ego points loses. It’s a somewhat unique take on PvP, in that you’re not under threat of losing, but you are encouraged to gain from winning.

You of course make in-game currency by winning fights and you level up your characters. The meat of the action of this game seems to be the harem competition, since it’s the only thing left for you to do after you’ve gone through the story.

There’s also a lot of features that bolster your abilities, like the pachinko parlor which lets you gamble for new girls and the market that sells tons of unique items that you can equip to better prepare your harem for combat.

Finally, it’s important to note that there are tons of real-time events that have you wait for completion, similar to how you might wait for a building to finish being built in an online strategy game. As aforementioned, these serve to psych you into wanting to come back to the game, thus encouraging you to spend more money. And speaking of money…

Cold Hard Cash

So naturally the game’s developers want to make a bit of money on their investment. After all, neither the game’s website nor the game feature any ads, popups or anything of the like. That’s why they encourage you to spend real money on in-game currency that can be used to purchase pretty much anything you want. Now this doesn’t technically make the game pay-to-win, since you can just enjoy the game for free and make progress regardless, but it does mean that paying players have an edge over you.

Either way, you’re not being pushed down by other players as much as you’re just being kept from winning, which should be perfectly fine for a porn game. And if you’re tired of fighting real players, the game has quite a few bosses scattered across the map that you can fight in the same fashion – with a harem-off.

Either way, you won’t be judged if you decide to throw a few dollars into this game, especially if you find it to be something that you can come back to regularly. The game was definitely not made to be enjoyed in one sitting alone. It does suggest that it is an investment of time, so it might as well be an investment of money as well. But be warned, the game does suck up a lot of your time if you choose to play it regularly.

It’s safe to say that Hentai Heroes is a full-fledged video game title and not just another flash game. Given that it has both a story and some gripping RPG elements, along with tons of art to keep you interested, it’s the kind of large scale project that gives porn games a really good name these days. If you have a lot of time on your hands and you like drawn 2D sprite pornography, this is the game for you.
