It’s not a place that encourages porn, and in fact, the place doesn’t even allow for porn videos to be posted in the first place. However, one thing that can be posted are experiences from pornstars, prostitutes, and pretty much all other kinds of sex workers. Everyone is allowed to post here as long as it’s a high-quality discussion, and not some low-effort material. With the sub being so inclusive, you can rest assured that most people will help you no matter who you are.

It also doesn’t matter what you do, so you can be a transgender pornstar, and people would definitely be really nice to you on this subreddit. Nearly two million subscribers in this community

Another great thing about /r/sex is the fact that it’s so popular on this platform. It has over a million members right now and it’s slowly but steadily reaching the two million mark. If they do reach that, it would be a massive success, since most NSFW subreddits have a tough time achieving that goal, and yet /r/sex is doing it without an issue. However, it should be said that /r/sex isn’t like any other NSFW subreddit because it has to do with advices and discussions rather than content and porn. It’s good that it only allows for that, since you do need a community that’s based around helping people sexually.

The exact number of people who are subscribed to /r/sex is around 1.7 million. That’s a really big number, and it’s huge for NSFW subreddit standards. It’s actually one of the biggest subreddits out there, and it is up there with the likes of /r/gonewild, /r/nsfw, /r/realgirls, /r/nsfw_gif and so on. Sure, it’s not the same kind of content, but it IS a NSFW subreddit and so it is only fair to compare it to the other giants on the platform. Not to mention that it has been around for more than 13 years at this point, which is pretty amazing and a huge milestone for any subreddit, NSFW or not NSFW as well.

Boring colors, no flairs, no cover photo, good avatar

As far as the design of the subreddit is concerned, it won’t exactly blow you away. It’s nothing special, and the only things that are good about it are the organization of the sub, as well as the rulesets. The rule are very clear and specific. They aren’t concise so it does take a while to read them, but they do tell you everything you need to know about what you can and can’t post on this subreddit. It’s amazing to see all of this happen in real time as mods actively prevent low-quality and low-effort posts from making it through as people post things all the time. There is even a more concise version of the rules too.

As far as the things that aren’t that good, the color scheme is one of them. The problem with the color scheme here for the most part is that it has the same blue color that all the other subreddits have by defauly. This means that you can’t expect anything exciting out of this subreddit as far as the color scheme goes. You can also not expect anything good in terms of the cover photo. I understand that it’s hard to create a good cover photo or cover photo for this kind of content that isn’t porn but also isn’t for the mainstream either. At least they managed to scrap together a good avatar. It’s a statue that represents sex, and that’s the best way that /r/sex could possible have presented themselves on Reddit!
