With a torrent, the system of uploading and downloading files is essentially crowdsourced. Whereas Napster consisted of one person handing another person an entire, whole file for downloading purposes, torrents break the file up, so that numerous people are always uploading and downloading one file at the same time.

When you download your torrent from a hosting site like The Pirate Bay or 1337X, you are not receiving the entire file at one time. Instead, ingeniously, you are downloading tiny fragments of the file from multiple sources at once, each uploader giving you one small bit of the file. By the time that your download is finished, the puzzle is complete, so to speak, and all of these tiny fragments of the file coalesce into the full video or album, or whatever it is that you wish to torrent.

Very vaguely separated by media type, it would be nice if you could also browse more easily by porn category (teen, brunette, ebony, lesbian, etc.).

That being said, it looks as if the seed to leech ratio of this site is actually much better than many other torrent hosting sites. However, Porn Leech also does go down frequently, often changing domains, it can be hard to keep track of. So, reliability is not the name of the game here, unfortunately.
