Eccie.net is a website that exists primarily to host reviews of and advertisements posted by sex workers ranging from escorts, massage therapists, strippers, and more. The site was first formed in 2009 and has since grown to become one of the internet’s premier destinations for escorts. The site had a particularly large bump in 2018 when the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA) and the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA) resulted into an investigation and shutdown of Backpage, which was previously the most popular escort listing service, as well as leading to Craigslist voluntarily ending operations of their Casual Encounters section.

SESTA and FOSTA did change how Eccie operates, but the site has survived the changes and still offers many useful services. In the middle of 2018, Eccie enacted several temporary measures with the hope to protect themselves from a fate similar to that of Backpage. Eccie made all reviews written prior to this date unviewable, and renamed each review section “Encounter Reports.” While this did not change the operation of the site moving forward, it did remove a huge amount of knowledge on many Eccie providers from the site permanently.

To this day, reviews written prior to these changes are no longer accessible. Even more recently, the largest change in the site’s history has taken place, fundamentally changing the nature of Eccie. In September of 2019, Eccie staff announced that bio pages and posted advertisements would be removed from the site entirely, effectively making advertising by adult providers banned entirely.

Prices range from twenty-five dollars for a two-week short-term pass, up to one hundred for a full year, and even two-hundred-fifty dollars for what Eccie calls an Elite VIP Member Upgrade—which not only lasts forever, but even increases your private message limit to five thousand.

The other way that you can upgrade your account to obtain premium access is by posting an approved review. If the format is followed and enough detail is given, each review will give you a reward of six weeks of premium access. By incentivizing the posting of reviews through giving access to additional information, this scheme is what makes the site work—without it, there would be little incentive for users to describe their experiences online.

Is It Still Worth Checking Out?

Despite the many changes Eccie has made over the years, it is still, in pornsites.com’s opinion, one of the best escort sites in existence. Change was necessary to weather the storm of more restrictive legislation, and Eccie has done an exceptional job of staying relevant despite all of the increasing pressure. Sure, they could have stuck to their guns and kept all of the features from their golden age, but that likely would have resulted in increased pressure from authorities and the eventual shutdown of the site as a whole.

Instead, they’ve cut features as needed to stay on the right side of the law, while still remaining incredibly useful. You won’t find a website with more reviews than Eccie, and you’ll even still be able to contact many service providers, even if doing so isn’t quite as easy as it was before.

The lack of advertisements hurts, but it by no means ruins the site. You can still read about what each girl offers through reviews, especially if you have a premium membership, and a lot of the information that was previously found in bios and ad posts can still be found offsite.

Altogether, Eccie is definitely not what it was during its prime, but it’s still an incredibly valuable source of information on all aspects of escorts and adult services. It’s no longer a one-stop-shop, but the site is still the best jumping-off point for any journey into this hobby.
