A Day to Remember

Where were you on Sunday, August the 14th, 2014? Perhaps this date holds no significance in your memory. If you are a hardcore porn enthusiast, however, then there is a good chance you can remember precisely what you were doing and where you were on this date. For this was the date of The Fappening.

It was a quiet day. Until it wasn’t. Sometime in the early afternoon, the Twitterverse became abuzz with news of over 500 leaked photos and videos, allegedly of some of the most revered and lusted after celebrities in the world. Suddenly, it’s all anyone could talk about. It was one of the loudest scandals of our modern era, and it was certainly the largest hack of celebrity nudes. There was much controversy surrounding the ethics of the hack, however.

There were essentially two camps on the issue. Those who believed that these leaks, quickly and cleverly dubbed “the fappening,’ were an invasion of privacy. Obviously, so the argument goes, it is beyond morality and common decency to access and proliferate private nude images of anyone, celebrity or not, for any reason. The reason behind the fappening, furthermore, seemed to be merely to sow chaos. Or, more likely, to spread the tempting allure of these celebrity bodies with the rest of the world.

People were sued. People were arrested. People were held accountable. Actress Lena Dunham begged people on Twitter, asking them to please not view the pictures. Doing so, she said, “Violate[s] these women over and over again. It’s not okay.” Emma Watson also spoke up against the release of the photos, as well as “the accompanying comments [on social media] that show such a lack of empathy.”

Additionally, Jennifer Lawrence famously referred to the hacks bluntly as “sex crimes” and “sexual violation,” going on to say, “anybody who looked at those pictures, you're perpetuating a sexual offense and you should cower with shame.”

It’s Only Human Nature

This is in stark contrast to other subjects of the leaks, such as Emily Ratajkowski, who said in an interview with GQ, “A lot of people who were victims of [the hack] said anyone who looks at these pictures should feel guilty, but I just don't think that's fair […] I'm not sure that anyone who Googles it is necessarily a criminal. I think the people who stole the photos are.” People seemingly unaffected by the leaks, however, also spoke out against the leaks. Actors, Seth Rogan and Lucas Neff condemned them, alongside others in Hollywood.

Regardless of where you stand on the matter, the fappening will, no doubt, go down in history as a major demonstration of privacy issues on modern devices. Some people attribute the breach to failures of a two-factor authentication system. Whereas others, such as writers from Forbes, have suggested simply turning off the “photo stream” feature on iCloud in order to avoid falling prey to similar hacks in the future.

Whether or not your conscience can reconcile the strife and upset that these leaks have caused the women who they affected, chances are that you are curious at the very least. And if you have not already caught a glimpse at some or all of these photos and videos, you probably will. Pornsites.com is here to tell you that this is nothing to be ashamed of. It is just, as Ratajkowski herself implied, nothing more than human nature. Which is why there are numerous sites dedicated to content from the fappening, as well as any other sexually suggestive photos of celebrities, leaked or otherwise obtained.

Taking The Fappening into Tomorrow

One of these types of sites easily found on the web (regardless of the cries of outrage aimed at Google for not policing them) is The Fappening Blog, or thefappeningblog.com. Although all of the content from the Fapping exists on this site, you will have to do a bit of digging in order to find it. Since massive hacking and leaking events such as the fappening (and the relatively unsung fappening 2.0) do not happen very regularly, however, The Fappening Blog today stands more as a regularly updated database of celebrity nudes and sexy images than a mere testament to the fappening itself. Hence, much of the original Fappening content is buried.

This could be a way for the site to protect itself from those looking to wipe the images and videos from the internet altogether. But this is more likely a result of the site’s blog format. The blog, by its nature, is not the easiest site to navigate. The older the post, the further back it gets pushed. Oftentimes a blog will compensate for this fact by having an easy to find postdated index, allowing you to simply click on a calendar on the dates of posts that you would like to see.

Archiving Issues

Unfortunately, though, The Fappening Blog does not date their posts. Yet they are still, as a blog, presented in order. This makes it much more difficult to find Fappening content than you would think it should be … at least on a site with as monolithic a name as The Fappening Blog. That would be one big suggestion that Pornsites.com could offer to this site: date and archive your posts … at least moving forward. It will make browsing so much easier.

You can, however, easily search the site by celebrity. Which might be all you care about anyway. Clicking on “List” from the site menu bar will bring you to an alphabetized list of every celebrity to appear on The Fappening Blog. This is probably going to be your best bet when it comes to finding the actual Fappening and Fappening 2.0 content. Plus, you never know, maybe you’ll stumble upon some hot nudes of a favorite actress or singer that wasn’t involved in either Fappening this way. This list can also be found cascading down the right-hand side of the page, as you scroll and scroll through post after post of nude celeb.

That leads to another complaint with this site, though. Not all of the images on The Fappening blog are of nude celebrities. This site does what many other sites like it do to compensate for a lack of theme-specific content … they stretch the definition of what kind of content they present. This is all good if you don’t discriminate, and a sexy image of your favorite celeb is just as good as a nude one. But if you came to The Fappening Blog looking for just the nitty gritty, just the nudes a la the fappenings, this might come as a disappointment. It also makes it even harder to browse for the kind of content you prefer, since browsing by celeb now means that you will have to fish through a bunch of clothed pics to get to what you want as well.

Better for the Forums than the Blog Itself?

Other than that, though, The Fappening Blog is a pretty sparse site. It doesn’t look bad. But it doesn’t look all that great either. There is no advanced search (which for a database this large is frustrating). And it’s not the most streamlined site in the world. But if you can get around these design concerns, The Fappening Blog will provide what it is that you want: naked (or scantily clad) images and videos of your favorite celebs.

In fact, the blog itself might not be the best way to browse and discover leaked (and non-leaked) images and vids. If you click into the forum, you might have better luck. Here, things seem to be much better organized. Simply click into the section labeled Celebrity Leaked Photos if that is what you want. You can also check out non-leaks, old leaks, sexy photos, and deep fakes (in case no nudes of your lady are available, leaked or otherwise). Additionally, you can always try your luck at asking others if they have found anything of her in the “requests” section of the forums.

You can also browse photos of non-celebrities where people post cam girls, models, amateurs, and pics of their own wives, girlfriends, or exes. Or maybe you’re just more in the mood for a chat. No problem … mosey on over to the general chat section to simply pass the time with other likeminded individuals.

At the end of the day, as far as celebrity porn sites go, The Fappening Blog is far from the worst one there is. It is consistently updated, which is probably better than merely focusing on leaks from the fappening … more is always better, right? It leaves a bit to be desired, sure, in terms of site design and organization, but it will certainly get the job done if you want to find all there is to find on your favorite celebrity crush.
