In fact, Simply Hentai has undergone radical design changes, sometimes even a few within the same year. At first, the platform looked quite poor as preview pictures did not always load, elements were sometimes unevenly spaced, and the colors used were sometimes an eyesore.

After Years Of Improvement, The Design Looks Good

As they have added an enormous amount of content, the programmers of Simply Hentai seem to have nearly got the look they like, and we do, too. A minimal amount of color is used as the text is either some shade of grey or black and some of the buttons and icons are pink. But the best part of the site's design from a visual standpoint is the high-definition, large, and often colorful preview pictures. Further, each preview shows off one of the categories, if it is a new upload, and which language this submission has been written in. Having a rating system is nothing new on porn sites, but the “reactions” you can give each manga are totally different compared to other sites. Similar to emojis, these reactions include "hot" represented by a smiling cartoon face with fire coming out of its eyes, "fapped" represented by a winking face, and "vomit," which is self-explanatory. Each manga upload usually has dozens of pages of smut per post, and each page can be manually clicked through. However, if you have a quick reading speed, you can set the comic to auto-scroll between pages.

Basically, the same as a category page, in this section, there are thousands of tags and several ways to search for them. By default, you can sort for results alphabetically and also by popularity and by upload date. You can filter down results by what language they feature, which we will explain in-depth later. Unlike any other site we have seen, with an account, you can even like/dislike and subscribe to an entire category. As we hinted at already, there is no shortage of imaginative fetish, and quirky kinky categorizes. Be warned though; some of this stuff is a little on the edgy side, too, as some of the more mildly racy material includes tags like Monster Girl, Pregnant, Giantess, and Trap. There is even stranger smut than that, which we think is another reason to give this site a look.

You Get A Good Pick Of Photos And GIFS

Though not as alluring as complete smut comics, the selection of erotic single images and GIFs is a nice addition to Simply Hentai. Most of the uploads are appropriately tagged, and they can be liked and commented on. Just like the manga series', virtually every eastern animated style can be seen here as well as some which look a bit westernized. The vast bulk of the pictures are animated, but a few GIFs and photos are of real people. It is not the best interactive feature we have seen, but it is worth mentioning that this section also has a mini-game called Hot or Not. You see one random picture at a time and can swipe right if you think it is hot, left if not, and save it to your favorites if you really fancy it. You should be careful which stills you click on since the webmasters have cleverly hidden some commercial webcam links.

This Website Seems To Translate Well In Other Languages

Often we find that most of the porn sites we look at only cater to people who read one or maybe two languages. Usually, on hentai pages, they are Japanese and English, sometimes Mandarin. Even when they do provide a translation feature, not everything on the page translates, or if it does, it does read very well. This is especially a problem when you are dealing with a website that hosts text on .jpegs uploads, which will not automatically switch languages. However, Simply Hentai has invested in a couple of ways to get around this problem a couple of ways. For one, by selecting on your preferred language, Simply Hentai will filter down the content you see, which has been tagged that way. So, if you read Korean, the only manga series you will see is the stuff that has been translated or written in hangul. Same thing with Spanish, Russian, French, German, and Portuguese. The other investment the webmasters made, which has led to even more content for a global audience is the site's translators. Apparently, they do their work for free and have industriously converted the text of hentai from all over the world. Of course, some translators are better than others, and a few are exemplary. The Discord Discussion Will Give You Another Reason Registration

For some reason, not every porn site has any social features besides maybe an interactive comments section. Though there is only one of note, Simply Hentai does have more ways to interact with other users. To be specific, we are talking about Simply Hentai's Discord server and the enormous number of people who chat on it. As of right now, there are 9,309 registered members, and typically several hundred people online at any time. Though it looks at first that you can get into the chat without a Simply Hentai account, you actually do have to be a member to get access. Finally, while we did not spend much time on it, it seems to us that chatters are civil and get into some particularly interesting conversations.

Do Not Expect Any Original Games

Not surprising, but still disappointingly, the Games tab is just a spam link to offsite erotic games by Nutaku. In all honesty, many of these games and the platforms which host them are ones we have reviewed before. Of the dozen listed, some of them like Booty Calls and Hentai Heroes, we have awarded them with excellent ratings. This still does not excuse the fact that this (probable) series of affiliate links are disguised as a feature that diminishes this site's otherwise high level of quality.

This Hentai Platform Has Been Well Optimized For Handheld Devices

Typically, there are three major things we always take into account when going over a website. First, how well executed is the main gimmick or draw – that being usually the erotic content. Lastly, there is an aspect of this site that is not unique to Simply Hentai, but of all Japanese erotica, which some people may not like: censorship. For those who do not know, the Japanese government has a weird approach to enforcing "obscenity laws," which leads to a lot of erotic, even the cartoon kind, being censored. So, depending on what you are looking for, you might find that there is a frustrating amount of fap pictures which are covered in pixels or a bunch of black bars to obscure a character's genitals.

Here Are The Adjustments We Would Make

Obviously, we cannot change the public policy of the Japanese state or artists' response to it. However, we would include pages specifically for Censored and Uncensored smut like other hentai platforms. It is fine to make money using adverts, but we think that the desktop and mobile versions need to be scrubbed of all of the potentially dangerous popups. The Twitter account (@SimplyHentai) used to be active, and there was a Facebook page, but not anymore. We would like to reactive those accounts to draw in more members and new artists.

Like most websites in this genre, Simply Hentai has all of the hallmarks of a well-constructed hentai site, and it has some bonus stuff, which makes it look a little better. In spite of some minor problems, we can comfortably give this porn platform four and a half hands.
