Of course, there were, by this point, tons of stories that had been archived with more being added by the thousands of members on a daily basis. Perhaps the most interesting addition was the BDSM Academy Dungeon. The Modern Layout Has Plenty Of Links

As we said before, the design of BDSM Library has not changed much, it still looks okay even though the lack of a good logo and color makes it a little bland. At the top of the page, there is a comprehensive drop-down menu, plus another menu to the left-hand side below that links to the most popular pages on the site. There are a smattering of adverts all over the homepage, and a host of links below them to stories. Said stories are summed up in a brief synopsis, but with the click of a link, you can be taken to another page, which links you to another page to get access to the full work in a separate tab. There you can read or download the entire file and also get the author’s name and email. However, on all browsers except for Internet Explorer, not all of the characters are going to load correctly, which makes reading a little awkward. While you can switch between submissions on the main story page, there is a category page. Fortunately, through the library menu, you can sort the impressive number of stories in a number of ways. For example, there are links that sort submissions by those which are longest, by author's name, and story title alphabetically. Further, you can filter results by those which are new and most recent for some reason, the highest-rated and most voted, and those which are considered to be the most popular. The Forum Experience Is (Mostly) Excellent

For some reason, it has a completely different aesthetic than the rest of the site, the forum looks amazing. Other than a little orange, the only other shade you are going to see is the white text font. With so many sections, not all of them get much traffic, but if you are into the kink scene, you will like this part of BDSM Library.

The Blog Has Been Occasionally Updated

On the forum part of the site, there is a blog section that anyone can contribute to, which the users have taken advantage of to add even more sex stories. Sadly, there have not been too many additions recently. As of the last few years, there have only been a couple of posts per year. We do not know if this domain is owned by the same person who runs BDSM Library, but it does not seem likely. Whatever the case, even if you try to get an account through that site, you will be redirected to another page for not having authorization to access this feature. If you try to register through the Community menu, you run into a 403 page, and the same thing happens when you try to get an account through the forum. Apparently, the webmasters do not want more members since they have disabled all means of getting an account.

But A Lot Of Once Great Features Are Broken

If it is not already clear, there are loads of things that this site seems to offer and, at one point, did, but not anymore. In addition to what we have already mentioned, the chatroom appears to have been shut down, the cam-to-cam streaming no longer works, and the once amazing Academy is no longer working. Despite it still being advertised as "coming soon," the site owner's reviews of any members' stories still is not up. As new people are not allowed to register, there seems not to have been any new content added since April of 2019, where new writers were being onboarded. Keep in mind, that was almost two years after BDSM Library stopped taking submissions. Still, it seems like that gap was enough to break the site since it looks like there have not been any new stories or even people added to the website in years.

Looking At BDSM Library On Different Devices

Unsurprisingly, BDSM Library has not been updated to present a mobile-friendly variation. To be honest, since the way that it loads and is still readable, BDSM Library does not look utterly terrible on tablets and smartphones. The Best And Worst Parts Of This Website And The Ways We Would Fix This Library

The best way to categorize BDSM Library would be as an archive for one of the largest collections of extreme erotica on the net. It would appear that all of it is fan-made as well with few, if any, parodies of existing IPs. When looking at this website from that standpoint, this website seems to stand out. Then there are the multiple issues this site has. To start, we think that the main pages should adopt the same aesthetic as the forum. After all, how is using a white background with almost no additional color supposed to put people in the mood to read erotica – let alone extremely kinky content? Years ago, this platform did roll out plenty of features that we do not only think are mandatory but used to make BDSM Library exceptional relative to the time and even now. That would make this a top-ranked website in our eyes if they were all functional. So, we would simply restart the chatroom, start re-accepting artwork, fix the broken links, and allow people to register as members. Finally, we would put some effort into creating an acceptable mobile version.
